Michael Matson, M.Div., M.A., RCC
Program Director, Registered Clinical Counsellor
Michael worked in Christian ministry and has fifteen years of experience working as a counsellor. He specializes in couples counselling, family therapy, addictions and issues related to individual development (Christian spiritual growth, grief & loss, life transitions and men’s issues). Michael is married and has three children.
Serafina Oliverio, B.Ed., M.A.
Serafina has over 25 years of experience in helping people in the areas of education and counseling. She has a masters degree in counseling and provides individual counseling for children, youths and adults. She offers counseling in many areas including: emotional challenges, anger management, grief and loss, self-esteem, family communication, parenting, relationship issues and more. Serafina is married and has four children.
Alex Kwee, Psy.D
Alex is a Registered Psychologist who works with older adolescents and adults with a broad range of issues and conditions including depression, anxiety, trauma, relational/marital conflicts, OCD, ADHD, sexual disorders and addiction issues.
Alex graduated from USC in Los Angeles and earned his doctorate from Wheaton College near Chicago, Illinois. He is currently an Assistant Professor in Counselling Psychology at Trinity Western University where he has been teaching and supervising counselling students since 2009. Between 2009 and 2014 he was also part of the “Back in Motion Rehab” multi-disciplinary team, treating clients with disabilities and workplace injuries and helping them return to work.
Alex now lives in Fort Langley with his wife and two children. As a former resident of Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City and Singapore, Alex is now appreciating the more bucolic charms of the beautiful Lower Mainland.
