Awana Clubs
Rose of Sharon Baptist Church offers Awana, a weekly ministry for children and youth from three years of age through high school, from September to May.
Awana is a worldwide youth and children’s ministry that is active in more than 100 countries.
Each ROS children’s club has its own meeting format tailored to the age group served. Meetings are held from 6:45 to 8:45 pm each Friday. Meetings for grade-school-age children feature segments for games, small-group Bible learning and large-group Bible teaching, singing, announcements and awards.
Middle-school and high-school programs have a different feel and format from our children’s clubs to meet the unique needs of these older age groups. Grades 9-12 meet on Friday evenings from 8:45 to 10:30 pm.
Game Times - exciting circle games exclusive to Awana that are a popular draw
Handbook Time - small-group interaction and recitation of Scripture learned during the week, friendship building and opportunities for leaders to mentor children and help them understand Bible verses learned
Large Group Time - singing, Bible teaching, awards, announcements and a presentation of the gospel
